Board of Directors
Compassion Child Care is managed by a volunteer board of directors. Take a moment and hear from each board member regarding why they are involved and excited about Compassion Child Care.
Dr. Jill Termaat - "Being blessed to be a part of Compassion Child Care is just one small step in the direction of leading a more Christlike life To love those he loves, serve those he serves, and give glory to the loving, almighty God.”
Jayne Termaat – “I am thankful and excited to be a part of this new children’s ministry in Sioux Falls because Compassion Child Care offers hope to families in difficult financial situations while providing opportunities to grow in their understanding of God’s love for them.”
Dr. Beth Jensen - "When I think of all I have been blessed with in this life, by family, friends, and most importantly by the Lord, I know I have a responsibility to share the blessings with those around me. The straightforward mission of Compassion Child Care is the most direct way to do that."
Matt Jensen – “There are endless ways to praise and experience a loving God. Playing, laughing, learning, building, and healing are only a few of them.”
Michael Johnson - "Compassion Child Care helps the poor the way Jesus taught us. In return we get changed lives, no longer needing government assistance. It is amazing to watch what God can do."
Tracy Kirby - "Compassion Child Care embodies Jesus' tender heart toward children and His plea to "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." A great piece of my heart has always been for children, so it is with great honor to see and be a part of an organization that allows the children to come to Him in such a practical and profound way."
Pastor Rich Merkouris - "This ministry gets me excited because of the focus on caring for the whole family. A child’s life has a greater chance of being transformed if the family is transformed and Compassion Child Care wants to help families."
Bill Termaat – “My involvement in Compassion Child Care stems from a desire to follow one of Jesus’ directives, albeit in a small and imperfect way, in which He said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14.”
Barry Termaat – “I believe that Jesus was passionate about helping families and children that are hurting while he was on earth. Therefore, Christians are called to uphold and support those same people in our community.”
Toni Wiseley, Program Director
I currently reside here in Sioux Falls with my spouse Aaron and our son Kasyn. I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona and have lived in many different places. I am passionate about bringing love and light into the lives of all children, but especially those who come from low income families. I myself come from a very diverse upbringing and love to share the strength God gives through my own experiences. When not working to develop the minds of our youth, you can find me at the movies with my families, playing at the park with my wild boy or snuggled up at home with a good book. I love working at CCC and having the unique opportunity of helping families in many additional aspects as well as providing outstanding childcare.
